Announcing an HBXL software update for EstimatorXpress, PlansXpress and Health & Safety Xpert.

The software developers and construction engineers have been busy again! And the update is OUT NOW!
Brand new EstimatorXpress door estimating and more…
EstimatorXpress 2024 has been given another features update! There’s no stopping the software developers and our construction engineers – or us demanding account managers! It includes:
- New external door configuration toolkit so you can price almost any size and detailed external doors to match the plans you receive from your clients or architect
- Brand new, fresh-looking icons to go next to each build phase heading within the quote – nearly 100 in total!
- Our first rainwater harvesting calculators
- and a few tweaks under the bonnet.
There are new options for estimating 100s of different door styles
The new external door configurator needs to be seen. The new additions are really impressive. 7 different Patio door definitions, 24 Bi-folds, 10 French doors, 16 Panel doors and 37 Front doors. Select your door type, edit the size of door, and choose from PVCu, Aluminium, Softwood and Hardwood, as well as different colours. Pick different size doors – standard or custom length and height.
New customisable quotations template
Our beta testers have been loving this. Top of the list – in EstimatorXpress, you can now select brand new, modern and fresh-looking icons to go next to each build phase heading within the quote – nearly 100 in total! You can colourise the background and foreground of the icon to match your brand. Choose from 16.7 million colours😊 – so you can find a match to your company logo for instance. Then you can alter the size and even the shape of the icon border. On top of all this, you can add your own header and footer to the quote, and your digital signature.

The New Interface in Quote Templates
HBXL’s latest software update for EstimatorXpress 2024 also includes significant improvements to the Quote Templates feature in EstimatorXpress. The new interface enhances user experience by offering a streamlined, easy-to-navigate layout – check out the ribbon with the new visuals. Users can quickly select from hundreds of Estimating Calculators within a quote template. We’ve also enhanced the ‘Ribbon Tool’ so you can select relevant Estimating Calculators to apply treatments to rooms.
Rainwater Harvesting
You’ll no doubt know 
rainwater harvesting is an efficient way to use water. It’s collected from roofs or hardstandings and used for toilet flushing, washing machines, car washing and the garden. It reduces the demand on drinking water supplies and takes the pressure off storm water drains and sewers. The rainwater harvesting systems we’re including in the latest update are for storing rainwater in overground and underground tanks, together with the associated pipework.

Brand new PlansXpress doors
The PlansXpress external door configurator mirrors the EstimatorXpress estimating version. It’s more like a toolkit really. Very clever. Choose from 100s of doors that you then configure – selecting the size, colour, material, opening, and glazing. The doors look great in elevation and 3D too.

And finally…
Now syncs with BuildProjex
First off, we’ve updated the software to remove references to Covid 19 specifically, (pandemics are now referred to generically in the documents). And we’ve also set up the software to sync with BuildProjex. By now you’ll be aware of our new cloud-based job and task management software. It’s where you can manage each project individually and collectively, in collaboration with your team and associates. It includes a storage facility for all your documents. And now, to make your life even easier, you can transfer your Health & Safety Xpert documents directly into BuildProjex and share them with relevant staff and contractors in moments – and even your client if you fancy! And note – BuildProjex is being updated with a new PDF viewer.
